Saturday Morning Prayer at Planned Parenthood
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Saint Agnes Parish is continuing its hour of prayer in front of Planned Parenthood on Saturday mornings from 7:00-8:00 am. If you would like to carpool, meet at 6:30 am in the Saint Agnes School parking lot. We return to Arlington by 8:30 a.m. If you have questions, please e-mail Eileen Cahill at SAParishforLife@gmail.com. We have been told by the devoted sidewalk counselors how much they appreciate having us there praying when they arrive. They need help and support. Please join this effort. Once you go and pray with others, you gain more confidence and it gets easier. Join us; prayer is the faithful's most powerful tool!

National Respect Life T-shirt Day: April 22, 2016
Your chance to bear witness to life in solidarity with others is coming on April 22! Do you have a respectful t-shirt that promotes life? If not, there are many places to get one, here is just one shopping site. A small handful of respect life t-shirts will be available at Sunday coffee hour for sale, $10 each until they are gone.
Things to remember on Respect Life T-shirt Day:
- Wear a smile, not a scowl.
- Carry a joyful message, not one of condemnation.
- Remember that this is not about you, and it’s not about “winning.” You can only bear witness; God alone can change hearts.
- Don’t descend into politics. Respect for life transcends politics. You can recommend Laudato Si and not just Humanae Vitae!
- Carry a big dose of humility – you do not know another person’s experience.
- Respect Life T-shirt Day is about sharing a message of mercy (Year of Mercy), hope, respect for all creation – especially in this case – human life, and support for those who are in need. It is not about arguing over your t-shirt.
- Pray, and don’t forget to mention Project Rachel.
How can we be PRO-life every day?
By maintaining a positive attitude towards others,
appreciating the unique person that God has created in each individual,
reaching out in kindness and compassion,
praying for the unborn, disabled and elderly,
and giving alms to the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable in our society.
“Whatever you did for the least of these, you did for Me."
Matthew 25:40
